In an intense effort to uphold the integrity of the examination process, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the cancellation of the UGC-NET June 2024 exam. The Ministry of Education cited concerns about the exam’s transparency and sanctity as the primary reasons for this decision.
The cancellation follows initial evidence suggesting that the exam’s integrity had been compromised. In light of these findings, the Education Ministry has decided to reschedule the UGC-NET exam, with new dates to be announced soon.
To ensure a thorough investigation, the Ministry has handed the case of examination irregularities over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). “A fresh examination shall be conducted, for which information shall be shared separately. Simultaneously, the matter is being handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I.) for thorough investigation in the matter,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Education emphasized its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of transparency and integrity in the examination process. The rescheduled UGC-NET exam aims to ensure a fair and just assessment for all candidates. Further details regarding the new examination dates will be communicated in due course.
