Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked early in the morning by an intruder, who entered his Mumbai residence on January 16. The 54-year-old actor was stabbed six times with the knife, and two of his injuries were said to be serious.
In the latest development, the Mumbai police released CCTV footage of the suspect in which the intruder can be seen running down the building’s stairs. The man can be seen wearing a t-shirt, jeans, an orange scarf, and a backpack. The intruder attacked the caretaker and demanded a ransom of 1 crore, but the caretaker created a commotion, and then Saif came to help her.
The Lilavati Hospital’s COO Dr. Uttamani said that “Saif sustained 6 injuries, 2 are minor, 2 intermediate and 2 deep injuries. One of the injuries is on the back which is close to the spine. A neurosurgeon is involved in the surgery”.
The attack on Saif Ali Khan came as a shock to the whole film fraternity and fans of the actor. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his son Ibrahim and a caretaker in an auto rickshaw. On the other hand, the police have registered the case of armed robbery and attempted murder, and the investigation is proceeding.
