After enjoying its spectacular theatrical run at the box office, the animated mythological epic Mahavatar Narsimha has made its release on OTT. Based on the Vishnu Purana, Narasimha Purana, and Shrimad Bhagavata Purana, the film started streaming on Netflix on September 19.

Directed by Ashwin Kumar, the mystical animation film was released in theaters with minimal hype on July 25 and yet broke many box office records once it received a lot of good word-of-mouth. The film tells the epic story of Prahlad’s devotion for Lord Vishnu despite the opposition of his father and demon king Hiranyakashipu.
One of the biggest hits of 2025, Mahavatar Narsimha is streaming on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film was the perfect example of a word-of-mouth blockbuster hit. It has crossed the mark of 250 crore at the Indian box office. As the film has been released on the OTT giant Netflix, it is expected to break the internet too!
