Georgina Rodriguez is making a case for minimalist fashion with a statement-making silhouette in Calzedonia’s latest Autumn/Winter legwear campaign. The model brings a refined yet modern edge to the seasonal collection, pairing an Intimissimi cashmere knit with sculpting tights to show how everyday essentials can become the centerpiece of a polished look.
Photographed by Javier Biosca and styled by Alba Melendo, the global campaign features Rodriguez in a sleek look centred on the Intimissimi Ultralight Long Sleeve Cashmere Sweater (boat neck). The light grey knit is a fitted sweater with long sleeves and a very subtle finish, the perfect balance of comfort and understated elegance.
Rodriguez wore the sweater with a matching grey leather micro miniskirt which created the effect of a very streamlined micro minidress. The very short skirt was a bold statement in itself and a grey trench jacket was draped over her shoulders in a very relaxed way.
The legwear was absolutely key to the campaign’s styling. Rodriguez is wearing the Calzedonia Sheer Strong Sculpt 30 Denier Tights (medium graduated compression, sculpt fit). The black sheer tights are a key part of the look against the soft grey palette and really do bring out the collection’s emphasis on both style and a great silhouette.
She completed the look with glossy brown patent-leather pointed-toe stilettos, adding polish and further elongating the overall line. A striking diamond ring and crisp white almond-shaped manicure brought subtle finishing details without distracting from the outfit.
Rodriguez’s beauty was very much in the same understated direction. Her jetblack hair was let down in soft straight waves with a center part. Defined brows, fluttery lashes, softly flushed cheeks, and nude-pink lips created a natural, model-off-duty finish.
The campaign brings together the very different strengths of Calzedonia and Intimissimi (sophisticated legwear and refined wardrobe essentials). The styling is in fact very simple in its execution: an ultra-lightweight cashmere sweater with a micro miniskirt and some sculpting tights. It’s a very simple look which in fact is a very contemporary look, and one which is absolutely timeless.
With Rodriguez at the heart of it, Calzedonia’s AW collection is very much about legwear as an integral part of the look rather than just a finishing touch.
