Doja Cat turned heads at the Met Gala 2026, embracing this year’s theme, “Fashion is Art.” She’s known for bold choices on the red carpet, and this time she picked a look that was both simple and daring.
Wearing a custom creation by Saint Laurent, designed by Anthony Vaccarello, Doja Cat stepped out in a nude-toned, see-through gown that closely followed her body’s lines. The fabric had a glossy, almost liquid-like finish, giving the dress a sculptural quality. Inspired by ancient Greek statues, the draping fell naturally across her frame, echoing the soft folds seen in classical art.

The high thigh slit was one of the standout features of her look. It brought movement and a bold touch to the flowing dress, making it both soft and daring. The cowl neckline draped over her shoulders, and the long sleeves gave the outfit a polished finish.
Because of the sheer material, her tattoos subtly showed through the dress, becoming part of the visual story rather than something hidden. It added a personal layer to the look, blending her identity with the design itself.

She completed the outfit with matching “Kiki” platform mules, also in a translucent nude tone, which helped keep the look cohesive from head to toe. For jewelry, she chose pieces from Leviev, adding just enough shine without overpowering the outfit.
It’s not the easiest look to wear, but Doja Cat made it feel natural. By drawing from historical references and shaping them into something modern, she created a moment that stood out without feeling forced.
