As the world enters a new year, Dogopo has announced the launch of its Missing Dog Helpline, a free support service to help families searching for lost dogs. The helpline will go live on January 5, 2026 (Monday) and is Dogopo’s top agenda for the year ahead.
Announcing the initiative, Dr. Gaurav Gulati, founder of Dogopo, said the purpose behind the helpline is deeply personal and rooted in empathy.
“When a dog goes missing, it is not just about losing a pet. It feels like losing a family member. The fear, anxiety, and helplessness that parents go through is something we want to address with compassion and action,” he said. “Our intention is simple: we want to help lost dogs and their parents.”
The Missing Dog Helpline is designed to help dog parents spread the word quickly and effectively. After a missing dog report is submitted, Dogopo will publish the dog’s details on its blog and share the information on social media. Location-based hashtags and targeted visibility will help the message reach people near where the dog was last seen.
Dog parents are encouraged to share complete details, including the dog’s name, breed, age, identifying marks, last seen location, date and time of disappearance, clear photographs, and contact information. More detailed information increases the chances of someone recognizing and reporting sightings.
The helpline also supports people who have found a lost dog and are unsure how to trace the family. They can share details and photographs with Dogopo, which will help circulate the information responsibly.
“This is how we want to begin 2026,” Dr. Gulati added. “With purpose, empathy, and meaningful impact.”
The Missing Dog Helpline is a 100% free, globally accessible service.
