Hello Isabella Storm, welcome to Blackbird News! Satan’s Valentine carries themes of self-love and empowerment. What was the inspiration behind the song?
I could let heartbreak destroy me, or I could find the lesson in the hurt, reclaim my energy and power, and rise even higher—using everything it taught me to change my outcome. I chose the latter. Satan’s Valentine offers a glimpse into the story of love lost and the reclamation of self.
Your lyrics are deeply personal and powerful. How do you translate your emotions into music?
You have to be willing to be vulnerable—something that doesn’t come naturally to me. Writing from experience is both challenging and rewarding; you’re laying it all out for people you’ve never met to hear, while also telling your side of the story. Sometimes, writing about it is a way of closing that chapter of your life, bringing a sense of growth. Whenever I start a new song, I ask myself: ‘What do I want this one to portray or highlight, and what do I want the listener to take away from it?’
Your sound blends passion, power, and a unique edge. How would you describe your musical identity?
The most lyrically honest, cutthroat, and badass B you’ll find—singing about how she feels, unapologetically

What was it like working with Andy Gannon on Satan’s Valentine, and how did he help shape the track?
Andy is incredible—this was the first song we ever worked on together. I had already written part of it before we even met, and I remember playing him what I had so far. He just knew exactly what it needed. Watching him work was pretty magical, to be honest—the guy is a genius. We built the track and finished writing the remaining lyrics in something crazy like five hours, start to finish. This one just flowed. From the second we started, we knew it was a hit, and it became clear that our partnership was something extraordinary.
Your upcoming EP promises to explore the depths of heartbreak and resilience. Can you share a sneak peek of what to expect?
Ooo, it’s good! There were absolutely zero F’s given when I wrote these songs—I wanted my voice, my feelings, and my vengeance to be heard loud and clear, with no sugarcoating. I already know some of these lyrics are going to raise eyebrows, drop jaws, and have people thinking, ‘Did she really just say that?’
As an artist, what do you want people to take away from your music?
Always be yourself, no matter what others try to put on you. Stand in your power, regardless of whether you break the ‘mould’. I want to leave listeners feeling empowered, inspired, and confident—when they hear my words, I want them to think, ‘F yeah!’ and channel that energy to enhance their situation. Whatever that may be—for example, staying strong and not getting back together with an ex when they send you that message they know would usually have you crumbling; strutting down the street confidently; having a solo coffee date when you’d normally avoid doing things like that alone… literally ANYTHING. Harness it, use it, own it!
You have an unapologetic and bold presence. What’s your advice for artists struggling to find their voice?
Really dig deep to figure out who you are as an artist—discover what makes you unique and what sets you apart. Then, find your ‘why’—why do you love music? Why do you want to do this? Once you have both, focus on them to fully step into your purpose. Harness your soul’s drive, fuelled by that ‘why’ and determination, and use it to show the world who you are as an artist. Honestly, it took me some time to get here. There’ve been plenty of people shaking their heads and trying to tame me… guess they failed, huh!
What’s next for you in 2025? Any exciting collaborations or upcoming projects?
I have a feeling it’s going to be a HUGE year… it’s already taken off at rocket speed, and I have no plans of slowing down. We’ve got more singles coming soon, the full EP later this year, and I may have dropped a few hints to my team that rhyme with ‘you slay more’ #spoileralert. You’ll just have to wait and see, but I’ll promise you one thing—2025 is not going to be boring!
