In a time when we have all the content available to us to watch, we should be careful about the content we consume. Among the many films getting released, propaganda films are the most dangerous films to watch. Such films are designed to manipulate or influence public opinion for vested interests.

    Distorted Facts

One of the most common things propaganda films often do is manipulate facts and present information in a biased manner. They pick up data as per their own suitability and provide a biased perspective. The purpose of such distortion is to lead to misconceptions.

    Promoting Polarization

Propaganda films often create societal divisions by portraying opposing viewpoints in a negative light. It can be on the basis of country, sex, religion, caste, creed, or more. It creates a dividing nature among people. It also makes it tough for society to listen to different views or opinions.

    Impact on Democracy

In democratic societies and countries, the most important thing to live together is by respecting the diversity and celebrating it. However, propaganda films spread misinformation and create a misinformed public that may fall for the false premises. It can lead to a society that becomes dogmatic instead of democratic.
