Ah yes, my story- it’s a special one! Everyone’s story has a beginning, but this one’s a little different. Apparently, people said my mom wouldn’t be able to give birth because of her age and health, and they expected me to be born “imperfect”- turns out they were wrong! Throughout my life I’ve faced plenty of obstacles, but I suppose that’s what makes it such a unique journey. My parents Bonnie and David Lewis Jr. brought me into this world at Eglin Air Force Base and raised me in Crestview, Florida gifting me with godly loving and moral teachings I’ll take with me forever.
HAS THE JOURNEY BEEN AN EASY ONE FOR YOU, OR HAVE THERE BEEN ANY PARTICULARLY TOUGH OBSTACLES TO OVERCOME?
There have – a few bumps in the road, but I’m thankful-these roadblocks have been pivotal in teaching me lessons like integrity, morality and obeying authority. Without these attributes, it’s almost impossible to make it to the destination of our dreams. My ambition may be a bit hard for some to relate to, with many critics and haters along the way, but if you put faith in God, He’ll get you through it all.
IT’S GREAT THAT YOU SHARED THAT WITH US. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL OUR READERS A BIT MORE ABOUT YOUR WORK AND WHAT YOU’RE FOCUSED ON RIGHT NOW?
I’m really passionate right now about doing my part to help out as many people as possible, using the great advice that my fantastic parents have taught me. I believe that if we’re all looking out for each other, it will help to ensure that future generations have a better life. I and my brother, Jeremiah Jacksun, are aiming to make an impact through the podcast we are currently working on by raising awareness first, followed by taking on positive action to tackle the issues that we experience every day.
DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE YOU’D LIKE TO PASS ALONG TO THE READERS WHO ARE JUST GETTING STARTED? ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HELP THEM ON THE PATH AHEAD?
My best advice to all of you is to never give up on your dreams. What sets your aspirations apart from everyone else is that you are giving it your all and trusting in yourself and God to help you reach your goals. With a support system made up of individuals who truly want to see you succeed, impossible is nothing! We all have greatness inside us, so it’s up to us to use that key to unlock it. Believe in yourself and you can do amazing things!
