Tyra Banks is revisiting her signature supermodel energy in a new set of photos, and this time, her mother was behind the camera.
The 52-year-old model and television personality shared three new images on Instagram, revealing that her mom took the intimate-looking photos. In two of the shots, Banks poses in a bedroom wearing a black bra paired with an open white button-down shirt. In one image, she plays with her long blonde hair, while another captures her looking upward.
The final photo takes a more spontaneous turn, showing Banks moving away from the camera.
“MY MOM TOOK THESE,” Banks wrote in the caption, directing followers to her latest Substack post about “getting my sexy back.”
The photos also connect with a more personal reflection Banks shared in her Substack essay, I Put My Sexy In a Museum. Looking back at different periods of her life and career, she wrote about feeling disconnected from the confident version of herself during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Banks described looking at old photographs and feeling as though that former version of herself had been placed in a museum. But rather than trying to recreate the past, she says she has been getting to know the woman she is today.
That includes embracing the changes in her body and the identity that comes with being a mother. Banks described her current body as a “Mama-couture” version of herself, while also making it clear that she still enjoys the glamour and styling that have long been part of her world.
The new photographs capture that attitude simply: black lingerie, a crisp white shirt, loose blonde hair, and a confident pose. With her mother taking the pictures, the shoot also has a distinctly personal touch.
For Banks, it is less about returning to an earlier version of herself and more about reconnecting with a part of her personality she feels is still there.
