India’s sports stars took to their social media and reacted to the incident on their own ways, some find it great and others are wondering if it will help anybody.
Badminton star Saina Nehwal praised Hyderabad Police for the killings of accused in the Hyderabad vet rape and murder case. Jwala Gutta on the other hand, wondered if killing of accused will stop rape from happening in the future.
All 4 accused of the rape and murder case of the veterinarian in Hyderabad were killed early morning in an encounter by the Hyderabad Police. London Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal took to her social media and wrote: “Great work #hyderabadpolice ..we salute u.”
Athens Olympic bronze medalist and former Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore congratulated Hyderabad Police.
Rathore wrote: “I congratulate the hyderabad police and the leadership that allows the police to act like police. Let all know this is the country where good will always prevail over evil (Disclaimer for holier than thou- police acted swiftly in self defence)”
