Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Delhi’s Sacred Heart Cathedral on Easter Sunday evening. The Prime Minister’s visit to the Christian church comes after he sent out his greetings for the occasion earlier in the day on Twitter.

Happy Easter! May this special occasion deepen the spirit of harmony in our society. May it inspire people to serve society and help empower the downtrodden. We remember the pious thoughts of Lord Christ on this day.

    — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) April 9, 2023

Modi’s tweet expressed his hopes that Easter would deepen the spirit of harmony in Indian society, and inspire people to serve and empower the underprivileged. The Prime Minister’s visit to the Sacred Heart Cathedral is expected to take place at 6 pm today.

The Delhi Archbishop Anil Couto is set to receive the Prime Minister, although there has been no confirmation as to whether Modi will attend the Easter services at the cathedral. The visit is seen as a sign of Modi’s efforts to reach out to the Christian community and promote unity among all religions in India.
