Premier Glow’s Tips for A Successful Children’s Party at Home

Here are some effective tips to help with your children’s party at home:

    1. Don’t Invite Too Many Children

It might be tempting to invite many children, but it is generally not advisable to do this. When children are around this age, they are beyond all-inclusive parties. Chances are they have already started forming firm friends and will be satisfied as long as those friends attend. They won’t worry about upsetting their classmates that they hardly ever talk to and their parents will most likely not notice it. The age of your child is a good way to come up with the number of invites.

    2. Invitations

It is important to be considerate with regards to invitations. You never invite one friend to dinner while another friend is listening and the same applies to your child. Nothing is as heartbreaking as feeling excluded, which is why you should find the appropriate time to give out invitations.

The best option is giving out invitations away from school. Texting or emailing parents is an excellent option and you’ll also receive a quick response. Another great option would be to set up a closed Facebook Event where parents can reply and it can give other parents a push.

    3. Preparations

You need to talk with your child beforehand to know what type of party they want and whether they want it to be held at home. Avoid doing this too long before the party since the child might grow out of the idea before the actual day of the party.

Two months is sufficient time to prepare a great party if you don’t need to book a venue. Is the child okay with party games? What games do they like? Ask him/her to make a list. It is also important to find out whether they prefer a theme party.

    Activities

What would they like to be doing between the games? Will they use their creativity to make something for their friends to take home? You will find many great ideas online starting with Pinterest. You can find the materials and kits you need in hobby shops. If it is just a few children, you can always use the kitchen table. It is generally advisable to avoid glitter unless you have no problem cleaning it up.

Making something edible or cooking is an excellent idea since they can make their own treat. There’s a wide range of options when it comes to the kits that you can buy, from making chocolate lollipops to perfect pizzas. Find a good recipe, print it, and laminate it so that the children may follow it when cooking. They will be measuring their own ingredients.

    Theme

It is possible to hook the party onto an event like Christmas, Easter, or Halloween? Is it possible to organize a hike and include treasure hunting too? Children love nothing more than water, which is why they will be more than glad to play water games. Get water pistols and buckets of water and you’ll see just how happy they will be.

However, you will need to be prepared for slips, tears, and mucky floors, but it will definitely be worth it. Always remember that children love time for ‘free play’ and will easily entertain themselves, but it is always advisable to have something planned as a backup in case things get out of hand or they get bored.

Is it possible to have a campout or have a tea party outdoors? Is there something that the children can bring along that fits with the party’s theme? Are the children okay with coming wearing fancy dressing? When it comes to a children’s party, there’s a wide range of options and it will be up to you to look at your child’s interests and come up with something great.

    4. Keep It Short

It is always important to pay close attention to the time the party is expected to take. It is perfectly okay for a children’s party to be as short as 2 hours. It might be tempting to make it longer, but you should definitely not fold. There’s really nothing you can expect to achieve by extending it too long. Always leave them wanting more.

    5. Get Somebody to Take Care of Pets for a Few Hours

Pets can be easily frightened by noise and sudden movements, which is why it is never a good idea to put them together with the children. It won’t be enough to simply lock your pet in the room since the children will most likely be curious to see and open the door. Keeping children and pets as far apart as possible is the best thing that you can do.

    6. Have Fun with the Decorations

Having fun here does not mean that you go overboard. Remember that the party is for your child and not your Instagram feed. You definitely must have balloons, whether or not you like them. The hardest part of the party will probably be the first 10 minutes since you will need to greet the parents and inform them when the party is expected to end.

Some of the children will be shy while others will be overly excited. You should try having something that the children can do that doesn’t require supervision. Get amazing fun props from Premier Glow. It could be a game, setting something for setting out later, or simply preparing the party table. Just try finding something that’s both fun and inclusive.

    7. Keep the Food Simple

If you plan to have lunch at the party, stick to wraps or sandwiches, crisps, fruit, and bought in cakes. If the party will be held during the evening, a pasta dish or pizza can be an excellent option.

Always remember to ask the parents of the children who will attend the party whether their children have any food phobias or are allergic to any foods. Have around 20 minutes for eating, with younger children requiring even less time since they hardly ever concentrate on one thing for long.

    8. Party Bags

Keep them simple. The sweets are the favorite part of a party bag. A good tip is filling the party bags with rainbow rice sweets. A couple of small toys, a small book, or perhaps even a puzzle that you found online and printed. Order now for fun light up toys.

It can also be a good idea to have a piece of cake inside the party bag since the parents will most likely want to taste it. Cut the pieces into squares before wrapping them in a serviette. Putting in cupcakes can be a good alternative to cake.

    9. Opening Presents

If you would like for your child to open presents at the party, remember that it might take a bit of time. You can expect the child to spend a lot of time opening the presents.

Other children might start to get bored if there are too many presents. They may be interested in playing with the presents that your child has received. It is advisable to have pen and paper to note down the presents along with those that gave them since this will make things much easier for you.
