Los Angeles-based galactic dream pop artist POLARTROPICA continues to captivate listeners with her unique blend of ethereal synth psychedelia. Known for pushing boundaries and creating music that transports audiences to otherworldly realms, POLARTROPICA has recently released her latest single, “Ride or Die,” in collaboration with Edgar Everyone. The single, which is produced by Jules de Gasperis (known for his work with Bleached and Geographer), is released via Coconut Spaceship Records.

“Ride or Die” is a dreamy, summer love song with a darkly sweet twist. It tells the story of a hot tropical fling, inspired by new beginnings and the exhilarating feeling of taking risks when following your dreams or falling in love. The track’s lush melodies and catchy hooks make it a perfect anthem for the summer season.

POLARTROPICA’s music has garnered widespread acclaim from notable publications and media outlets such as NYLON, NPR, Billboard, and LADYGUNN. Her unique sound and captivating performances have earned her a dedicated following, and she has been recognized as LA Weekly’s Best Indie Pop Band.

In addition to her musical achievements, POLARTROPICA’s music has also found its way into various media projects. Her tracks have been featured in the NPR/Capradio’s theme for MIDPACIFIC Podcast “Can’t Hold Us Back,” the Blumhouse Horror feature film UNSEEN with “Give Them Hell,” and A24’s HOW TO BLOW UP A PIPELINE, which includes the track “Terminator.”

The artist’s music videos have also received accolades and recognition. The music video for “What’s Your Fantasy” won the London Director Awards and the LA Independent Filmmakers Showcase Film Festival. It was also a semifinalist for the New York Indie Shorts Awards and an official selection for Cannes Shorts, New York Indie Shorts Awards, Outfest Fusion, and Berlin Music Video Festival Awards, where POLARTROPICA also performed live.

POLARTROPICA’s recent endeavors have further solidified her position as an artist on the rise. She completed a successful SXSW tour, including performances in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Austin, with an official showcase for LUSH UK. In 2022, she headlined the Troubadour and LA PRIDE’s Hollywood Main Stage, as well as opened for Poppy at The Novo in Los Angeles and House of Blues in San Diego.

With her distinct sound, captivating performances, and a growing list of accolades, POLARTROPICA is an artist not to be missed. Her latest single, “Ride or Die,” featuring Edgar Everyone, is a testament to her ability to create music that transcends genres and transports listeners to a realm of dreamy, otherworldly experiences. “Ride or Die” is available now via Coconut Spaceship Records, and fans eagerly await what POLARTROPICA has in store for the future.
