Nina Dobrev brought a polished take on the micro-miniskirt trend to the US Open, stepping out in a striking look from Adam Lippes’ upcoming Spring 2027 collection.
The actress wore a black flared miniskirt with a dramatic, circle-cut silhouette that sat high on the thighs and created plenty of movement. In one image shared from the event, the skirt flared outward as Dobrev twirled, highlighting its sculptural shape and playful character.
She paired the statement skirt with a cream-colored sleeveless top featuring cap-style detailing and an asymmetric mock neckline. The relatively understated top let the skirt’s exaggerated proportions remain the outfit’s main focus.
Dobrev kept the rest of her styling sleek and minimal. She wore her dark hair loose in soft waves and accessorised with small stud earrings, while black cat-eye sunglasses and a compact black top-handle bag added a classic touch. A soft pink satin-finish lip completed the beauty look.
For footwear, she chose pointed-toe black pumps, keeping the overall outfit sophisticated while maintaining attention on the standout skirt.
Adam Lippes shared the look on Instagram Stories, noting that Dobrev was wearing a piece from the designer’s Spring 2027 collection and crediting stylist Bailey Moon. Other members of the styling team also shared the look, giving fans an early glimpse of what is to come from the collection.
The appearance also adds to Dobrev’s growing embrace of the micro-mini silhouette. Earlier this year, she stepped out during Paris Fashion Week in a similarly short Miu Miu skirt, showing that the abbreviated hemline remains part of her fashion repertoire.
At the US Open, however, the contrast between the dramatic volume of the Adam Lippes skirt and the clean styling around it made the outfit stand out. Rather than competing with the statement piece, the rest of the look let its shape, movement, and proportions take centre stage.
