The teaser of the much-awaited historical war drama Kesari 2 has been released today. Set against the backdrop of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the teaser begins with the voices of men and women screaming as they fled to save themselves from the British Army’s open fire on them.

The teaser shows Akshay Kumar playing the role of fearless lawyer Sir C Sankaran Nair in his upcoming film. Producer Karan Johar wrote on his Instagram handle that “When truth roared louder than the empire – a revolution painted in courage was born.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective, Kesari Chapter 2 is based on the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’ by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat. Other than Akshay Kumar, the film also stars R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday.
