The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, has launched a campaign, named #SheInspiresUs. The campaign started by Mr. Modi is endeavored to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8. Mr. Modi has offered to give away his social media accounts to women “whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions.”
After the announcement was made, MyGovIndia – a government Twitter handle is regularly sharing stories of women – who have done something great in their respective field and have inspired others to follow!
MyGovIndia has also tweeted about Ms. Kanthi D Suresh, Editor-in-Chief, and founder of Power Sportz, the only sports channel headed by a woman.
Kanthi is not somebody who is unknown to the world. In fact, the lady has proved her mettle several times in the past, that too in just a short span. In fact, she is popularly known to be a game-changer.
In the year 2019, she was honored with India International Excellence Awards (IIEA) for her outstanding work in the world of digital journalism by Honorable Former President, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.
Now Kanthi is getting all the admiration from Mr. Modi himself. She has all good reasons to be recognized for her outstanding work and deliberation in the field which has traditionally and historically been a male bastion.
