Emmet Glascott is a music producer from Waterford, Ireland. His songs have taken him over the globe working with international superstars to Grammy Award winners.
His song ‘The War’ has been used in a sold out cinema called ‘Strand Cinema’ in Belfast, in a film called ‘Suicide & Me’ a film raising awareness for suicide prevention. It features vocals from Sean McGrath from the band Stolen City who were recently on RTE’s ‘The Late Late Show’ with Ryan Tubridy performing their song ‘Coming Home’. ‘The War’ will get a re-release as a rock-Indie style song at a later date featuring Reid Johnson who plays guitar for the Chainsmokers.
Emmet has been strongly rumoured to be entering the Love Island villa as a late arrival similar to the bombshell arrival of Greg O’Shea on the hit show. Greg and fellow Irish contestant Maura Higgins have also been keeping an eye on Emmet’s Instagram stories along with fellow ex Islanders Callum Jones, Luke M and Demi Jones. Maura Higgins has also slid in to Emmet’s direct messages.
Emmet has been signed to BLINDsided Records which is owned by Irish superstar DJ John Gibbons who personally signed Emmet to his label just last year. John has also had his music used in the ITV hit show previously. John opened up for Justin Bieber in 2018 and The Chainsmokers and has called Emmet’s song ‘Home’ ‘A Great tune’. ‘Home’ features vocals from OMZ who has worked under the likes of Swedish House Mafia and has songs signed to Sony, Universal and Armada. Emmet has also signed with DaCosta Records owned by Louis DaCosta who has opened up for Calvin Harris and he has also been signed to Dutch label Wolfrage Recordings.
Emmet song ‘Promise’ features vocals from Denny White who has worked with The Fray, Julia Michaels, Tiesto and Martin Garrix. Emmet’s original song ‘The War’ features two time Grammy nominated drummer Dylan Wissing who plays drums for Eminem, Drake, Alicia Keys track ‘Girl On Fire’ Kanye West on the song ‘Power’ and Jay-Z and many more. Emmet has songs enter the Irish and Spanish charts.
Emmet has done official remixes for Craig Cooney and Danny Byrne on Spotify. Craig has played alongside Irish act Chasing Abbey for a show hosted by Dublins FM 104. Emmet’s remix of Tiesto, Jonas Blue & Rita Ora’s song ‘Ritual has almost hit one-hundred thousand plays on the streaming platform SoundCloud. Emmet song ‘Sorry’ can be heard regularly on Irish radio. His song ‘Redlight’ reach number twenty-four in the Irish dance charts with his debut single reaching number three on Spain’s ‘Sound of a Wide World’ radio charts.
Emmet has been rumoured to be a huge favourite in the villa. Love Island is available to watch on ITV and ITV player.
