Over the years, Indian cinema has gone through various changes in terms of storytelling, production quality, and audience preferences. The changing trends in Indian movies also reflect the advancing tastes of the audience as well as the increasing influence of global cinema.

One of the biggest changes in Indian cinema is the shift from socially relevant cinema to larger-than-life cinema. Also, the rise of digital platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar has transformed the kind of content the Indian audience used to watch. The popularity of web series like Sacred Games, Pataal Lok, and Mirzapur are some of the best examples.

On the other hand, the production quality in Indian movies has witnessed a significant improvement with the use of advanced technology, high-quality visual effects, and huge budgets. Films like Baahubali, Pathaan, Jawan, and Brahmāstra have set new benchmarks in terms of visual treatise and technical excellence.

As Indian filmmakers are pushing boundaries and experimenting with their conventional storytelling, the future of Indian cinema looks promising with an advancement of technology, high-budget movies, diversity in storytelling, and a willingness to experiment with new genres.
