A Foundation Built on Education
Elle’s path has been shaped by her academic journey across some of the nation’s most respected institutions.
At Washington State University, she developed a foundation in critical thinking and communication. At Johns Hopkins, she was challenged to analyze issues on a global scale, learning how systems impact both individuals and communities. Her time at Seattle University School of Law sharpened those skills further, translating her passion into advocacy.
“My education gave me both breadth and depth in perspective,” she reflects. “Together, these experiences shaped me into both an attorney who seeks justice and a leader who values compassion, discipline, and innovation.”
Building Duncan Law Office
Driven by a vision of accessible and empathetic representation, Elle founded her own firm — Duncan Law Office.
“I wanted to build a practice that combined excellence in the courtroom with a client-centered approach,” Elle explains. “What sets my practice apart is the balance of rigorous legal strategy with empathy. I want clients to feel heard, respected, and confident in their representation.”
Achievements in Law and Advocacy
Elle’s dedication to advocacy has earned her recognition at both national and local levels. She was the American Bar Association Moot Court Appellate Competition winner in 2020, a highlight of her law school career.
In practice, her talent has been recognized with the Super Lawyer rating from 2023–2025, an honor reserved for the most respected attorneys in the field. Her commitment extends beyond casework. As the recipient of the Jeff Robinson Equity and Racial Justice Award, Elle has consistently advocated for equity and inclusion.
“Advocacy for equity is not something I do occasionally,” she says. “It is woven into every decision, every case, every interaction.”
Pageantry as a Platform
Elle’s leadership and advocacy also extend to the stage. Holding titles such as Miss West King County 2019 and Miss West Seattle 2023, she has used pageantry as a platform to amplify causes and connect with communities.
“Pageantry gave me opportunities to engage, promote, and grow,” Elle notes. “The discipline, resilience, and confidence it instills are qualities I carry into my legal career and leadership roles.”
She sees parallels between pageantry and law:
“Both require poise, preparation, and the ability to connect with an audience. Whether before a jury or on stage, you need presence, credibility, and authenticity.”
Commanding the Runway
Beyond the courtroom and pageant stage, Elle has also taken to the world’s most glamorous runways. Having modeled at Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, she continues to expand her global influence.
“Walking international runways has taught me that confidence is not about perfection, it’s about presence,” she says. “That same presence strengthens me in the courtroom, in advocacy, and in leadership.”
Balancing It All
How does Elle manage law, pageantry, and modeling while maintaining her sense of purpose? Through boundaries and intention.
“I prioritize my time carefully and stay rooted in service, advocacy, and empowerment,” she explains. “Each role fuels the other—law sharpens my intellect, pageantry amplifies my voice, and fashion expands my reach.”
A Legacy of Empowerment
Looking ahead, Elle hopes to inspire others to embrace multidimensional paths.
“My hope is to leave a legacy of empowerment, where clients, communities, and young women see that they too can pursue multiple passions fearlessly,” Elle shares. “Ultimately, I hope my journey inspires others to know that their voices matter and their impact can be limitless.”
