The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hits at Prime Minister Narendra Modi as they claim that the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is not invited to the opening event of the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line. The party also added that they have contributed 50 percent of the Metro budget.

On Sunday, PM Modi inaugurated the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line extension from Dwarka Sector 21 to Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) did not invite the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, as claimed by the AAP party.

“Modi ji you are not only the Prime Minister of BJP but of the country, and guardian of all. Delhi Metro has been a joint venture between the central government and the Delhi government since the beginning. Both the governments have a 50-50 percent contribution in it. It is very sad that Modi ji is inaugurating a 2-kilometre-long stretch and did not invite CM Arvind Kejriwal,” said Atishi Marlena, education minister of Delhi government.

The AAP leader expressed their disappointment and said not inviting the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to a DMRC event shows the ‘cheap mentality’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She also said that the Prime Minister must rise above the party lines.
