After successfully bringing the bite into two reality shows, such as ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and ‘MasterChef’, Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay sets to tread down ‘uncharted’ territories where he is seen hunting eels and gunning down goats.
Ramsay seems to love theatrics and it is proved by his new show ‘Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted’, where he sets out on an adventurous journey around the world. In the show he is found interacting with people from different countries about their food and culture. Also, he is seen preparing a number of delicacies.
However, critics have something else to say about Ramsay’s new show, ‘Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted’, they say that the same path was once trodden by Anthony Bourdain. Anthony Bourdain was the published author and a celebrity chef, he committed suicide last year. Anthony documented his culinary adventures on CNN’s travel show, ‘Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown’.
The 52-year-old’s expedition on National Geographic follows a similar approach, where he is found traveling from the peaks of Peru to the jungles of Laos and far south to the lush valleys of New Zealand. However, Ramsay, who referred to Bourdain as ‘a great friend’, has shut down all critics by simply responding, “I would never, ever attempt to copy anybody in their profession. Back in 2004 I started my journey from visiting Cambodia, the most amazing Southeastern Asian islands, Vietnam, and then spending three months in India from north to south, and a week in an ashram in Kerala, and understanding how to perfect vegetarian cuisine, and so I was more upset with people criticizing ‘Uncharted’ without having seen it.”
