Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is set to be fined 75 percent of her match fees for her behaviour during the 3rd ODI between India and Bangladesh. The final ODI had some ugly scenes as the Indian captain was angry against the umpire.

According to reports, Kaur is set to be fined 75 per cent of her match fees by the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Code of Conduct as her actions of hitting the stumps with her bat in disgust as she wasn’t happy with the umpire’s decision during the match.

The Indian captain also criticized the level of umpiring publicly in the post-match conference. Kaur called the umpiring ‘pathetic’ as the Indian cricketer could not hold her emotions back. “The umpiring was poor and we will prepare accordingly the next time we come to Bangladesh,” said India captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

The Bangladesh captain Nigar felt insulted by the whole scenario and left the ceremony with her team members. Nigar said, “It’s her problem but she should have shown manners while dealing with Bangladesh players. I didn’t feel right to be there for the photograph and left with my players. Cricket is a game of respect and discipline.”
